Tax day freebies

For the last few years, due to various reasons I always ended up filing my taxes at the last minute. So even though I made note of different tax day freebies, I never took advantage of them. This year, as I was getting a refund, I filed my taxes early. I already got my refund and am all ready to take advantage of these melt-the-tax-stress-away freebies. There are quite a few companies that are offering some sort of discount or free stuff on Monday. Here is a list of tax day freebies I could find – from free coffee to massage.

List of Tax Day Freebies

• Cinnabon will giveaway two classic Cinnabon Bites to guests on Monday from 6 to 8 PM. They are calling it Tax Day Bites.
• MaggieMoo’s Ice Cream and Treatery will give away a free mini ice cream sundae (Sundae Stimulus) from 3 to 6pm. MaggieMoo’s ice cream “Sundae Stimulus” will feature the new Crumb Cake Fundae, which includes cinnamon Hostess® Streusel Cake, cinnamon “Cinamoo” ice cream, caramel sauce, mixed nuts and whipped cream.
• P.F. Chang’s guests get 15% discounts on Monday. The Tax Relief promotion includes all guests of P.F. Chang’s China Bistro and applies to every dine in and take-out order.

• McCormick & Schmick’s gives $10.40 “Tax Relief Certificates” to folks who order bar drinks on Friday and Monday.
• Bruegger’s is offering a pack of 13 bagels and two tubs of cream cheese for $10.40 through Monday with a downloaded coupon. Download the coupon here – Bruegger’s Facebook.
• Office depot is offering free copies of their tax returns, up to 25 single-sided pages, at participating office depot branches through Monday.
• Hit a Bally Total Fitness to workout for free on Monday and members can get free personal training.
• Online dating site Chemistry.com is offering free 3 day membership to “help singles take their mind off taxes”.
• Whole foods is giving a free cup of coffee on today (April 15th). Valid at Whole Foods Market Maryland, Virginia, Washington D.C., Pennsylvania, Kentucky, Ohio, Marlton, and Princeton, NJ locations
• Now through Monday, HydroMassage centers are offering a free 10 minute mini massages to eliminate the tax stress.
• California Tortilla is giving away free chips and queso. Just make a purchase at any Cal Tort on Monday, April 18th and get free Chips and Queso.
• Taco del Mar is offering free tacos.
• Chili’s is offering a free appetizer or dessert with a purchase of an entree, at participating locations nationwide.

I won’t be going anywhere specifically to take advantage of the tax day freebies, nothing seems so special to me. Well, may be MaggieMoo’s, but there is no MaggieMoo’s near me. But if you are going to be in any of the above places anyway on Monday, why not take advantage of these offers?
