Groupon movie ticket and Google free calls

Groupon is currently offering a $4 movie ticket at Fandango. Groupon is a “collective buying” site which features one deal per day from local retailers. The deal is usually a very good discount as they are promising the businesses a minimum number of customers. They occasionally feature a nationwide deal. Today’s fandango.com deal is one of them.

So the deal is this : You get any ticket on Fandango.com for $4 (up to a $12 value including taxes and fees) limit 1 per person. If the ticket costs you more than $12 then you will have to pay the additional difference. It is not valid for 3D or IMAX. Here is the deal link : $4 movie ticket via Groupon. If you don’t have a Groupon account already, please use my sign up link and then visit the deal link. Only 4 days left on the deal (or until they run out of the tickets whichever is earlier). The ticket (coupon for the ticket) expires Feb 28, 2011.

Google introduces free calls within US and Canada from Gmail

Starting today you can call any phone right from Gmail. The calls within US and Canada are free till the end of the year. The rate for the rest of the country is competitive too. US Gmail users might have seen the “call phone” feature popping up in your chat list. Just click on that and dial the number as you would usually do to make calls from regular phone. This will be an excellent alternative to Skype.

Everyday Tips August 26, 2010 at 6:47 am

I remember when 4 dollars for a movie was expensive…

I will have to check that out because my teenage son needs to save some money at the movies (I rarely go).

Thanks for the tip!!
